Sheila Forde, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MISCP

Qualification and Education

Sheila is a Chartered Physiotherapist registered with CORU and the ISCP. She graduated with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland (RCSI) in 2015. She is currently studying a Masters in Sports & Exercise Medicine through University College Cork (UCC) . Sheila has completed Mat Pilates training Levels 1-3 with APPI, Level 1 course by British Associate of Hand Therapists, Strength & Conditioning and Dry Needling courses.


Sheila has gained invaluable experience to date practising across array range of healthcare settings. Her professional career has entailed working in Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, in both public and private services. Sheila previously worked in a large Major Trauma centre in Coventry, UK as a rotational Physiotherapist. Upon returning to Ireland Sheila worked in St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin where she completed rotations in the areas of Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Hands & Plastics and Elderly rehabilitation. During her time in New Zealand Sheila spent 1 year working in Private Practice rehabilitating clients in the areas of Sporting and Musculoskeletal injuries, guiding Post Operative Rehabilitation, Vocational/Return to Work programs and Concussion Rehabilitation. Sheila has previously worked as Physiotherapist with Galway Camogie Minor and Intermediate Teams for 2016 Campaigns. Sheila joined East Galway Physiotherapy in 2021 and currently works with a number of local GAA teams.


Outside of the practice Sheila maintains a keen interest in sport. She plays camogie for her club Ardrahan and is a member of the 2023 Galway Camogie Intermediate Squad. Sheila enjoys Reformer Pilates in the winter months and is a retired musician.
