Ciara Haverty, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, BSc, MISCP
Qualifications and Education
Ciara is a Chartered Physiotherapist registered with the ISCP and CORU. She graduated with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from The University of Brighton in the UK in 2010. Previous to this she completed a Degree in Health Science and Physiology in the Institute of Technology Sligo. Ciara is a certified Mat Pilates Instructor with a Dry Needling qualification. She has also completed Level 1 Assessment, Treatment and Management of Female Urinary Incontinence and most recently a ‘Gals against Gravity’ workshop.
Since graduating in 2010, Ciara worked in two large NHS trusts in London, covering a variety of areas as an inpatient and community Physiotherapist and gaining valuable experience. She returned to Ireland in 2016 and worked with acute Neurological patients in Navan hospital. Following this Ciara joined East Galway Physiotherapy Practice in 2017 and also works in a number of Nursing Homes in the county. In Sport, she was involved with a Gaelic Football team in London, Roscommon County camogie team and currently a local GAA club and rugby club.
Outside of work, Ciara has her hands full with two small kiddies but she enjoys family days out and spending time with friends. She enjoys swimming and gym classes like HIIT or step and tone to pass the time.

Colm Walsh (Practice Manager), BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, BSc, MISCP
Qualification and Education
Colm qualified with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire in 2004 following on from completing a Bachelor of Science Degree at NUIG in 2001. He is recognised as a clinical lead in Physiotherapy from an established professional career that commenced in Waterford Regional Hospital. Colm returned to West of Ireland in 2006 broadening his expertise while working in various clinical specialities at Merlin Park Hospital and University Hospital Galway. In 2015, he transferred to Galway’s HSE Community services where he continues to work as a Senior Physiotherapist. Colm follows ISCP and CORU regulations through his dedication to Continuous Professional Development, Evidence Based Practice and his current involvement of service development through Slaintecare Projects.
In 2012 Colm acquired East Galway Physiotherapy and has since established the Practice as a Centre of Excellence in East Galway. He expanded the services available with an increased Team of Chartered Physiotherapists and works closely with GPs, Consultants and Allied Health Professionals. In over 15 years of clinical experience Colm has covered a number of Galway Hurling U21s Panels and Academy Teams. He remains heavily involved with numerous GAA Hurling, Camogie and Schools sides in County Galway with success achieved at all levels most noticeably with his native Portumna All Ireland Club Hurling success. Colm has the same grá for Connacht Junior Club Rugby covering Portumna & Loughrea RFC sides seasonally.
In Colm’s ‘spare time’ you will most likely find him out gardening and enjoying time with his family. Colm is an avid Connacht Rugby Supporter and loves nothing better than attending the Sportsground or an away European Rugby Fixture. He also loves to clear the head through cycling or playing tag rugby over the summer months.

Donnacha Egan, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MISCP
Qualifications and Education
Donnacha is a Musculoskeletal Chartered Physiotherapist registered with the ISCP and CORU, who completed his BSc in Physiotherapy in 2015. Having attained his Physiotherapy degree from UCD he has amassed over 1000 clinical hours in hospital and primary care settings, as well as gaining experience by volunteering with UCD GAA with the ladies football teams, men’s fresher hurling and football teams, and with the Dublin U16 footballers. He is a certified Mat Pilates instructor, with qualifications in dry needling, manipulative techniques and strength and conditioning.
Since graduating in 2015, Donnacha has been working in private practice in Dublin, Roscommon, Wicklow and now Galway, where he has fine-tuned his diagnostic and treatment skills. Alongside his work in private practice, he has been involved in a variety of sports teams through many codes, including football, hurling, soccer, rugby, basketball and more. Donnacha has also worked in Care of the Elderly units in Roscommon and Galway, where he has helped to set up a COPD Community Exercise and Education group, and has built up experience in treating Cardiorespiratory and Neurological conditions.
Donnacha has always had a keen interest in sport, representing club, county and region in football and basketball. While playing with Maree Basketball Club keeps him occupied through the winter months, he also enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
